132/220/380kV Double Circuit – Civil Works and Cable Installation for the Variation “Ponte di Lorengo (Malonno) – Cedegolo”

Overview

This project involves civil works and cable installation to create a section between the Ponte di Lorengo, located in the municipality of Malonno, and the Forno electrical substation in the municipality of Berzo Demo. The new underground cable lines include the 132 kV No. 608 C.P. Edolo – Forno, the 220 kV No. 202 Cedegolo-Taio, and the 132 kV No. 606 Forno-Cedegolo, to be installed across the municipalities of Malonno, Berzo Demo, and Paisco Loveno in the Province of Brescia.

The segments of the three lines included in this contract are:

132 kV Line 608 from Ponte di Lorengo to Forno (4.0 km)
220 kV Line 202 from Ponte di Lorengo to the Forno Derivation (3.5 km)
132 kV Line 606 from Forno to the Forno Derivation (0.6 km)

The contract is divided into two lots:

Lot “a”: Lorengo – S.P. Vivione (2.4 km double circuit for 132 kV and 220 kV lines)
Lot “b”: S.P. Vivione – Forno (1.1 km double circuit 132 kV and 220 kV, and 0.6 km double circuit 132 kV)

The lines consist of a triplet of XLPE single-core cables arranged in a trefoil formation. For the 132 kV line, the cables are 1600 mm² aluminum, while the 220 kV line uses 1200 mm² copper XLPE cables.

Lot-specific activities are divided as follows:

a) Lot “a”: Lorengo – S.P. Vivione

Laying of cables for Line 202 from joint GMC 25 (progressive 0.00) at Ponte di Lorengo to GMS32 (progressive 2406.00) near the Allione River.
Laying of cables for Line 608 from joint GMC 19 (progressive 0.00) at Ponte di Lorengo to GMS26 (132 kV) (progressive 2282.00).
Civil works from progressive 0.00 to progressive 2406 (220 kV), including joint pit GMS26 but excluding GMS32 (220 kV).
Sewer collector pipe installation from progressive 267 (220 kV) to progressive 1030 (220 kV).
Water pipeline installation from progressive 1040 (220 kV) to progressive 2340 (220 kV).
Crossings:
- Oglio River at Ponte di Lorengo.
- SS42 Highway at Ponte di Lorengo.
- Pontivo Stream at progressive 160 (220 kV).
- Brescia-Edolo Railway at progressive 510 (220 kV).
- S.P. Passo Vivione at progressive 2300 (220 kV).

b) Lot “b”: S.P. Vivione – Forno

Laying of cables for Line 202 from joint GMS32 (progressive 2406.00) near the Allione River to GMC35 (progressive 3448.00) near the Forno Derivation.
Laying of cables for Line 608 from joint GMS26 (progressive 2282.00) to terminal TES 31 at progressive 4031 in the Forno Allione substation.
Laying of cables for Line 606 from Forno Allione terminal TES 0 (progressive 00) to joint GMS1 (progressive 690.00) near the Forno Derivation.
Civil works from progressive 2406 (220 kV) to progressive 3500 (220 kV), including joint pits GMS32 (220 kV), GMC35 (220 kV), GMS1 (132 kV), but excluding GMS26 (132 kV).
Civil works at the Forno substation, including foundation execution, supply, and installation of support structures.
Crossings: Allione Stream at progressive 2450 (220 kV).
Crossings: Brescia-Edolo Railway in the section near the Forno substation.
